Extract Data Subsets

In this section, you will be able to extract data from a previously loaded genotypes matrix (1) into a new one (2). The original matrix will remain unchanged, the new one will contain data filtered from the original one as per the filtering criteria (3+4)

The two selection areas, “Marker Selection” (3) and “Sample Selection” (4) work simultaneously to include or exclude Markers or Samples obeying to filters with the provided Criteria. This means you may filter Markers and Samples in one single operation.

First you will have to specify which Property or Value you want to filter by in the drop down boxes of section (3) or (4).

There are two ways of specifying the filter Criteria:

You may use the Criteria text area to introduce a list of comma-separated values e.g.
“rs1234656, SNP_A_54684, rs1288786″ etc.
“SMPLE1, SAMPLEX, SAMPLE2, INDIV2, Nb6″ etc.

Instead, you may want to use an external file containing a list of values to be included/excluded e.g.

rs1234656
SNP_A_54684
rs1288786
rs11511647
rs10751931
etc.

SMPLE1
SAMPLEX
SAMPLE2
INDIV2
Nb6
etc.
